The three trainers have many years of teaching experience with doctoral and postdoctoral scholars from across Europe. They are experts on teaching & learning in Higher Education and in professional contexts (training of trainers), as well as on innovative teaching & learning methods in theory and in practice.
All three trainers are Associate Fellows of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Member of the Language Centre, Nicola Hargreaves graduated in languages from the University of Otago. Her research interests lie in academic writing, scholarly legal writing, public speaking skills, and teaching and learning.
Coordinator and academic skills teacher in the Language Centre at the EUI, Nicola Owtram holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from University College, London. Her research interests lie in academic writing, comparative stylistics, cognitive pragmatics, and teaching and learning.
Teaching & Learning Skills Officer at the EUI, Annika Zorn holds a Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences from the EUI. She is an experienced trainer of trainers and Higher Education teachers. She is the founder of an online school and a senior expert for running knowledge sharing and creation projects.
